Train?: There is a very good rail network from which you can reach Exeter and then the local link to Exmouth. Trains from London Paddington main line station are fast and frequent over the two routes to Exeter (one via Bristol and the beautiful Roman town of Bath, but you don’t have to change). The other route has also much lovely scenery. Look out for the white horse cut into the rolling hills. You can connect with a network of local and cross-country routes, many of which are particularly scenic and an excellent way to see more of the countryside.
